As long as you're talking, you are hosting?

I think I don't have thick Malay blood running inside my vein but occasionally I do wanna watch Malay programs on tv. But as soon as Jimmy Shanley starts to say something, I feel the need to escape and never return. The pronunciation, the tone of the voice, the pace, everything is just wrong and immature. I beg Astro to not let Jimmy host another show unless he's trained professionally! The opportunity to appear on tv and mutter some words using a microphone does not make him a host. It just makes him a person who appears on tv.

Not everybody can be a host. Winning a reality show does not automatically entitle you to host a show. Maybe they make the decision to boost the rating but have you seen Mawi lately? This man have lost his mojo, he can't even speak like normal people do? In Jejak Mawi, Asmawi Ani acts, terribly! His eyes roll frantically as if possessed and I'm on the verge of my seat waiting for him to finish his every sentence every time, it seems so difficult he looks like he's constipated. You are supposed to host, man! What are you doing acting?

During weekends, there's Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan, where the host jalan-jalan and cari makan hosted by Serina, daughter of Chef Wan. I'm sure there is other information apart from the name of dishes, the prices and the muttering of the word "sedap". Do some homework, girl! If to compare you and your father, you are like a waitress and your father of course, a renowned chef. And the list goes on... some of the so called experienced hosts also do amateurish gestures and mistakes during hosting. It's a catastrophe in our entertainment world, I must say.

Knowledge of the subject matter is the key to good hosting. And presentation is the basic talent a host should possess. When a host saying "what else to ask?" in the middle of the show, then the host is toast! Ok, I'm switching my channel to E!
